Application Process

STEP 1. PUPPY APPLICATION FORM
The first thing to do is fill out our Happy Time Doodles Application form. This lets us know what your interests are and how we can help match you with your new puppy. Also, we always recommend being open on gender. We cannot predict the number of boys vs girls.If you have questions, you can email us on from the Contact Us page or feel free to call us at 859-351-7279. We understand providing a forever home for a new puppy can be scary. Nothing is better than talking directly and getting to know each other. The form also has a place where you can indicate to us whether you might be interested in our Local Family Program.

‍STEP 2. MAKE YOUR DEPOSIT
If you are sure about getting a Happy Times Doodle puppy, and your application is approved, families can make a deposit on the Pricing/Payment page [link here]. The deposit is $500.00. Deposits can be made automatically by using the PayPal button (transaction fees are included in your automatic payment). You may also send a deposit to us by check, mailed to us at:Happy Time Doodles525 Darby CreekSuite 34Lexington, KY 40509The deposit reserves a puppy for you and your place is held in the litter you select. Single deposits are for one litter only. They cannot be used to hold a puppy in multiple litters. Reservation lists often fill up quickly, and we cannot reserve a puppy for you without a deposit. Deposits are non-refundable, however, they are transferrable to a future litter.

‍STEP 3. NOTIFICATIONS
If you are reserving a puppy before the breeding occurs, we will contact you once the pregnancy has been confirmed. We will also let everyone know when the puppies are born, the number of puppies, and how many boys and girls. Pictures will be posted regularly on our Facebook & Instagram page and the website. ‍STEP 4. PUPPY VISITS AND SELECTION
Puppy selection takes place when pups are between 6 and 7 weeks old. Before that, we will work with each family to make sure that the best match is made for you and the puppy. Flexibility about gender is encouraged, as we never know how many boys or girls will be in each litter. A visit schedule will be made to make and confirm puppy selections. We hope you will visit Happy Time Doodles in person to select your puppy. It is special day for all and great fun! Final and Full payment for your puppy is due by the 6th week after the birth of the puppy.

‍THE BEST STEP... PUPPY PICK UP!!
The Day You’ve Been Waiting For! The puppies go home with you and become part of your family. Between 8 and 9 weeks of age, families may come and pick-up their puppy. I’m not going to lie, this day is a little sad for us but it also brings us great happiness to see the joy in your faces, because we know they will be loved and cared for so well by our Happy Time Doodle families. We will be here to help and offer support whenever it is needed.
