The simple things that make all the difference!

Summer is the perfect season to get outside and make            memories with your dog! Whether you're camping, hiking, kayaking,            fishing, running, taking a neighborhood walk, or simply enjoying a            game of fetch or Frisbee, there are countless ways to have fun            together while strengthening your bond.

A little planning goes a long way in keeping your            adventures safe and enjoyable.

Here are a few things to keep in mind before you            head out:

💧 Bring plenty of water for both you and your dog.            Portable water bowls make it easy to keep your pup hydrated.

🌳 Plan for shade and rest breaks. Dogs can overheat            quickly, especially during the hottest parts of the day.

🌅 Exercise during cooler hours. Early mornings and            evenings are the safest times for walks, hikes, and play.

🔥 Watch out for hot pavement. If it's too hot for            the back of your hand to comfortably touch for 7 seconds, it's too            hot for your dog's paws. Stick to grass, dirt trails, or consider            protective dog boots when needed.

🚗 Never leave your dog in a parked car. Even with            the windows cracked, temperatures inside a vehicle can become            dangerously high within minutes.

🏕️ If you're camping, think ahead. Bring a            comfortable sleeping spot, leash, food, and any familiar items that            will help your dog settle in.

🦟 Be aware of your surroundings. Check for ticks            after outdoor adventures, avoid poisonous plants, follow local            leash laws, and pay attention to rough terrain that could injure            sensitive paws.

While this may seem like a long list, it's really no            different than preparing for your own outdoor adventure. A little            awareness and planning help ensure everyone has a safe, enjoyable            experience.

The rewards are well worth it. Exploring the            outdoors together builds confidence, strengthens your relationship,            provides healthy exercise, and creates memories you'll both            cherish.

So grab the leash, pack the water, and get            outside—your next adventure is waiting!

Happy Training!
